06/29/2004: "Ravenna - June 28"
So today was a very long day of running around and jumping in, on, and off trains. It was very adventurous....
Once again I only write this because Katie tells me to. She’s such a nag. Anyway, we went to San Marino, a place that should have been left undiscovered and ran into another tourist trap. But we are too smart this time and we made sure not to buy anything but gelati, and broke out as soon as we could. We only had an hour and a half because of the bus schedule, plus we had to make it back to the train station in time to catch the next train to Ravenna before 8:30 so we could check in on time. Did you catch all of that? SO anyway, we did it all checked into the hotel in Ravenna, and had a good time. It also turns out, even though we had a deadline to check in, the place is very nice. Check out the pictures. Anyway, we went to go eat which was a struggle because all the restaurants closed at 8 so we found a hotel that had a restaurant and eat. The food was very delicious. We had one of the towns wine, and it was very nice. I am liking the trip a lot; I just wish Katie would let me write when I wanted to. Also, I really wish you all would e-mail me and let me know what you wanted from Italy. I know my Mom wants a cameo, cheap, but it ain’t gonna happen, cheap, because they aren’t cheap. And I’m getting something for my new niece, Ms Rose. Don’t know for the rest of the family. Let me know. I do check my e-mails people!!
